Spring is coming! A time to stand up and support one another… And so in a spirit of solidarity and collaboration with other charities in the field of international development, we’re taking on a challenge to support not only mothers but also their daughters in developing countries, who from as young as 3 have to spend their days walking to fetch essential water supplies. These gruelling trips mean they often don’t have time to go to school or make a living, meaning they’re unable to reach their full potential in life.
A team of eight Ammalife volunteers will be ‘Walking In Her Shoes’ between 8th and 14th March, which means we’ll wear a pedometer and walk at least 10,000 steps a day (about 5 miles). We’re hoping to raise money for CARE International* to provide safe water nearer to families who currently have to trek for miles every day to fetch it. Please sponsor us (just click the secure weblink below to confirm the details of your payment), and help us to help them by giving whatever you can! And spread the word… The more people that know about our work, the more effective we can be…
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
